http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyjoLyYftHk
Target Audience. The target audience for this advert are young women aged 18-40. The type of women that would buy this lipstick are people who like going clubbing or out with their friends in their spare time and the type of job they would have is something in retail or work in a make-up store. They like to read magazine such as “the look” or “hello” and also have a passion for fashion..
Camera Angel, Her Position. The camera angel is low and there is a reflection of her lips so it brings all the attention to her lips and mainly the lip-gloss.
Colours, Used plain and simple colours to bring all the attention to Cheryl cole and the product their trying to sell. They used calm and soft colours to make the audience feel relaxed and to make you feel that you interacting with her in a way.
Clothing, She’s wearing a silver dress to show that’s she’s sophisticated and elegant. There’s no need to show all of her dress because the product is located around the face.
Background – the colour of the background is white and clear. These colours make the advert look like its heavenly and healthy so this implies to the target audience that if you buy this lipstick it’ll make you feel like you’re in heaven.
Storyline – there’s not much of a story line to this advert, Cheryl is just lying there posing but this bring a bad repusentation to girls because it’s shows that all girls should just lay there and look good.
Font – The type of font that is used is thin, sharp simple. This implies to the readers that all girls should be thin and sharply dressed.
Advertising Persuasion technique used:-the transitional appeal is used because Cheryl cole is a famous person and their using her to embrace the product and because she is famous and a lot of people look up to her it is more likely for people to be interested.
Props – the only props used in the YouTube advertisement are crystal balls in the background of Cheryl cole, A crystal implies that the product is expensive and how ‘glamorous’ product is
Representation on women – Goffmans theory is that all women in adverts are shown as nothing but sex object but in this advert Cheryl cole is represented in a nice way so this will reflect back on to other women
Sound –In the YouTube advertisement there is a little jingle playing in the background, sound is not that important in this advert because the main focus Cheryl cole and her selling the product.
